A non-refundable deposit of £30 per person is due within 7 days of booking confirmation. Balance of payment is due on all breaks at least six weeks before start date. Deposits are non-refundable. If booking within 6 weeks of start of break, full payment is due by cheque after confirmation of booking. Once we have received your deposit, we will send you an invoice with balance amount and due date together with details of your chosen break.

When making a group booking, the lead name on the booking form is responsible for the booking and accepts the booking conditions on behalf of all party members. The confirmation invoice and short break details will be sent to the party leader. Walking the Wye & Forest can only accept children over the age of twelve on all breaks.

All cancellations must be in writing (email or letter) and are effective from the day we receive them. For a cancellation received more than 42 days before the start of the break payment less deposit will be refunded. For later cancellations the following charges apply: 42-30 days before the start: 25% 29-14 days before the start: 50% No refund can be given for cancellation 14 or less days before the start of a break, or whilst a break is in progress.

We cannot adjust the cost of the break if you arrive late or decide not to attend the activities.

If you wish to make changes to your break prior to the due date for final payment, we will endeavour to make the change subject to an administrative charge of £20 per person. Any requested changes after this date will be treated as a cancellation of the original break and a new booking for a different break. (Charges as set out above.)

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule breaks after we have confirmed your booking for reasons of safety and your guide has the right to alter the route also for reasons of safety. We may also occasionally have to make changes to the breaks for various other reasons in which case you will have the choice of accepting the changed arrangements or taking an alternative break or accepting the cancellation and receiving a full refund of all monies spent.

In the interests of safety, you must undertake to follow the advice of your guide and any warning or advisory notices encountered during any activity, follow the Country Code and act prudently at all times.

We do not accept any liability for any loss or injury however caused. We strongly recommend that you take out appropriate personal accident insurance and cancellation insurance. Walking the Wye & Forest is covered for Public Liability. Whilst we take every reasonable care we cannot be responsible for your own illness or injury during a break. We regret we cannot accept any liability for any loss, damage or injury resulting from “force majeure” (for example, war, threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disasters, fire or adverse weather conditions, level of water in rivers or other similar events beyond our control.) You are also responsible for any damage or loss caused by you or any member of your group and indemnify us against any claims (including legal costs) subsequently made against us as a result of your actions.

Your contract with us and any matters arising from it shall be subject to English law and to the jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.

In the unlikely event that you should need to make a complaint during your break, we will do our best to resolve the problem straight away. If this is not possible you should email/write giving full details within 14 days after the break and we will undertake a full investigation.

We reserve the right to alter accommodation if necessary. We will use every reasonable endeavour to find alternative accommodation of the same quality and standard as the ones currently displayed on this website. We will endeavour to provide you will full details of any alternatives before the start of the break.

In the event of rain, we will continue with the activities unless it is torrential and unlikely to break for the day. With the guided walking breaks, we may arrange shorter walks due to the weather, in all decisions relative to the weather the group views will be taken into account. However, your guide will reserve the right to determine continuance if prevailing weather conditions are too severe.

The cost of any extras over and above those included within the break quote, such as drinks, newspapers and telephone etc, should be paid to the accommodation provider before leaving. Travel to and from the break is your responsibility.
